MANAH — His Majesty Sultan Qaboos received at Hisn Ash’shumookh in the Wilayat of Manah the ambassadors of six countries accredited to the Sultanate in separate audiences. His Majesty received the credentials of South African Ambassador Lungile Pepani, Bangladesh Ambassador Shaikh Iskandar Ali, Lebanon’s Ambassador Husam Asaad Diyab, Romania’s Ambassador Dr Adrian Macelaru, Croatia’s Ambassador Tomislav Bosnjak and Slovenia’ Ambassador Dr Robert Kokali.
During side meetings with His Majesty the Sultan, the ambassadors conveyed the greetings best wishes of the leaders of their respective countries to His Majesty the Sultan, along with the leaders’ wishes of further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan. The ambassadors said they were greatly honoured to present their credentials before His Majesty the Sultan. They vowed to do their best to develop relations between the Sultanate and their respective countries.
During the side meetings with His Majesty the Sultan, the ambassadors conveyed greetings of the leaders of their countries along with their best wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people continuous progress and prosperity under His Majesty's wise leadership. They expressed their great honour and utmost happiness to present their credentials before His Majesty.
They affirmed to exert their utmost efforts to develop relations of their countries with the Sultanate in various spheres to serve the joint interests of the Omani people and the peoples of their countries. His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the ambassadors and expressed his thanks and appreciation to the leaders — President Dr Jacob Zuma of South Africa, President Mohammed Abdul Hamid of Bangladesh, President Michel Suleiman of Lebanon, President Traian Basescu of Romania, President Dr Ivo Josipovic of Croatia and President Borut Pahor of Slovenia.
His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the ambassadors and reassured them that they would receive all support from him in person and the Omani government and people to enable them to carry out their duties. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, the Head of Royal Protocols, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman and the Military Aides of His Majesty the Sultan. – ONA
