The Guardian Limited has re-launched its Swahili paper –Nipashe complete with a pristine colourful new look, added content guaranteeing readers and advertisers value for money.
Speaking at a pre—launch ceremony held at the Guardian Newsroom in Mikocheni Light Industrial Areas, Dar es Salaam, The Guardian Limited Managing Director Richard Mgamba said more than a cosmetic overhaul, the freshly designed Nipashe will spot improved content relevant to the market.
He said the paper will advocate patriotism and will observe all the ethic of journalism delivering timely, accurate and unbiased reports everyday across the country.
“The re-launch took into consideration feedback from our readers, vendors and critics and we have now tailored Nipashe to meet market needs,” he reassured stakeholders.
“The new design depicts 21 years of excellence and experience since it was first introduced in the market in 1994,” he went on to note. He said while there will be additional human resource to the paper’s editorial team, however, for the most part; “we will work with our very experienced and now revitalized editorial team.”
Emphasizing on non-partisanship and patriotism, he said Nipashe, as do all Guardian publications, will place country ahead of any individual, sector or political interests.
“We are well equipped and prepared to compete with other print media, our readers are assured of accurate, unbiased reports and our advertisers are guaranteed the widest coverage and timely delivery,” he said.
Opening the ceremony, Nipashe Managing Editor, Jessey Kwayu said along with news reports, the new Nipashe will feature detailed analyses, photos, politics, economic, education, sports and entertainment all with improved fonts.
On his part, The Guardian Limited Director of Advertising Januarius Maganga reassured readers and advertisers that the new Nipashe will deliver timely, quality and reliable news complete with photos and will be first in the market every day.
“The new Nipashe is well designed, it is classier, more detailed and covers a larger scope with material for entire family,” he said.
“No one should miss out on the new Nipashe for exclusive stories and advertisement options that offer the largest viewership,” he added.
