Apparel and shoes selling chain, Woolworths has introduced a campaign to reward its faithful customers and encourage them to buy more in the country.

The campaign will see regular shoppers winning up to 1m/- shopping vouchers every month according to Woolworths’s country Marketing Manager, Edwina Barongo said in Dar es Salaam yesterday during the handing over of vouchers to two lucky winners.

“For one to win the exciting reward he or she must possess a WReward loyalty card which is a membership card and qualifies one to enjoy a great number of benefits from instant savings to a chance to win Woolworths vouchers,” Barongo said.

WReward Loyalty card is not a credit or debit card, nor a store account card that one can use for
purchases. “It's your key to an exciting world of loyalty,” she said.

The Woolworth Manager further noted that in order to qualify shoppers need to swipe their cards on machines at the shop’s point of sale.Apart from the award, WReward card holders are also entitled to price reductions.

One of the lucky winners, David Mugassa said that his family was delighted to receive the reward since he did not expect it despite being a regular shopper at Woolworths.

“I have been a loyal Woolworth customer for a long time and I consider this reward as give back by the chain shops in appreciation of my patronage,” he noted while urging other people to participate in the campaign.
